BKT also known as Balkrishna Tyres is located in Mumbai, India.
BKT maintains offices around the World with locations in Italy, United Kingdom, and the United States. BKT is part of the "Siyaram-Poddar Group" which is a well know industrial conglomerate in India. Today, BKT is one of the world's leading manufacturers of "Off-Highway Tyres" with a product range containing 1700 SKU's.
BKT first started production and R&D in 1988 in their Aurangabad factory in Western India. In 1995 they started production on their Off-Highway Tires and started exporting to the USA and Europe in 1996. During this time, BKT decided to expand with an investment of $50 million and in 2001 started production of their Flotation and MPR Tires. In 2002 BKT started a new factory called Bhiwadi in Northern India and in 2003 started production on ATV, Lawn & Garden and Earthmoving Tires. 2003 was also the year that BKT started producing the Radial Tractor Tires (85 Series) as well as set up their offices in the United Kingdom. In 2005 they expanded the radials and added the 70 Series. In 2006 BKT launched their Flotation Radial Tires and started another factory which they called their Green Field Project. 2006 was also the year that the offices in Italy were set up. In 2007 BKT launched the 65 and 90 series tires as well as their row crop farming. And 2008 was the introduction of BKT's Earthmax Tyre which is their new Radial OTR line.
BKT offers a wide variety of tires to fit many needs. They offer a full line of Agricultural, bias and Radial (AGRIMAX) as well as OTR and Industrial tires.
BKT also has a full line of ATV, Lawn & Garden, and Solid tires. BKT has many accreditations such as the ISO 9000:2001 and were recently awarded the ISO 14001 certificate for their environmental management practices. BKT not only holds strong business ethics, their products meet some of the highest standards as well. Currently their products conform to ETRTO, T&RA, JATMA, and ITTAC.
